Number: 6ft. under

Team: Carnevil and Bombers

Position: I have played them all but I'm best at being a blocker (even though it gets me in the penalty box a lot)

Favorite drink: A strong spicy Bloody Mary!!

Brief BIO-real or Roller Derby persona: I have always been a tomboy and a thrill seeker. I have played all kinds for sports, from cross-country to wrestling but I was never truly happy. After I met my husband I started racing out in Monroe and loved to be able to go fast and get hit. Unfortunately I wrecked too much and didn't like fixing them. Just about the time I wrecked my last car, I was invited to go and watch derby out in Seattle. The first bout I saw was eye opening. Going around hitting girls and getting away with it was a dream come true. Only problem was I didn't know how to skate well. I continued to go and see Rat city and learn the game but knew that I could never be out there playing. Then one day out of nowhere a coworker said she was going to try out for the new Everett derby team. She showed me the clip in the paper about it and my dreams had come true. So I went from 4 wheels to eight, and lovin' every minute of it.

JCRG: What committee do you belong to, and what is your function
B: I help out on the bout production committees. My job is (with the help of Ivana Hercha) doing the ticketing for the league.

JCRG: What is your favorite aspect of derby?
B: My favorite aspect of derby is the fact that all kinds of women can get together and get along. To be on a team that can accept women from all different background, ages, beliefs, and sizes is amazing. This league is such a strong support group. It brings unfound respect to all members not only for themselves but for other people also. How many other sports can get women to feel great about themselves and want to show themselves off to a huge crowd?

JCRG: Do you have a favorite derby player outside of Jet City?
B: The first bout I went to see I saw D-Bomb pulling Femme Fatale around the track by her hair. At the next bout I remembered Femme and started watching her, and fell in love. She was my first derby crush. But after I learned more and started skating myself my crush changed to Pia Mess. But that too has passed. Now I love all my girls!!!!
