Normally shy and retiring, Di Brarian's idea of a fun evening was organizing her pantry according to the Dewey Decimal System. As she was shelving one day in the sports section, a dusty tome fell off the shelf and hit her - smack - on the head. Bending down to retrieve it, she read the title: "How to Win Friends and Influence People through the Sport of Roller Derby." Suddenly she heard a voice say, "Give me that!" Looking up she saw KimPending Doom, who had come to the library to do research on how to achieve world domination for the Hula Honeys. Di Brarian was intrigued - and pissed off. "Sure, come and get it," she said sweetly, then took off running through the stacks. What followed was a tug of war that left KimPending Doom holding one half of the book and Di Brarian the other. Di Brarian realized that in order to find out what was so special about the book, and roller derby, she'd have to join the Hula Honeys.
