Princess Jellhomina Jessinda came from a faraway place called Ho Land. She lived in a strange castle with her father, King Ho, who ruled over all the land. Being a princess she was raised under the expectation that a Prince Charming would someday come, sweep her off her feet and they would live happily ever after. The princess impatiently waited day in and day out for her Prince Charming to come and take her away from Ho Land. She waited and waited and waited. The bastard never showed. Princess Jellhomina, being impatient and impetuous, decided to seek out this Prince Charming and give him a piece of her mind. How dare he make her wait for love and happiness ever after!

She left her strange castle that night however, she had never been outside of her domain and did not know where she was going. She traveled for days and was nearly starved half to death and ready to give up when she came upon a group of exotic creatures that called themselves the Hula Honeys. They told the princess that she was in Hula country and only derby girls were allowed to stay in the land of Hula. Princess Jellhomina had never heard of this "roller derby" but when she saw the Hula Honeys play she forgot all about that bastard Prince Charming, she found a new love. Princess Jellhomina Jessinda then proclaimed herself Jell-Ho Jess, Roller Derby Queen! She joined the Hula Honeys and lived happily ever after.
